About the RoleWe're seeking a highly skilled and motivated R&D Battery Scientist to lead advanced battery research activities. In this role, you'll be responsible for:
- Designing and synthesizing novel battery anode materials and morphologies
- Optimizing current materials and facilitating scale-up from lab-size to production scale
- Performing lab-scale battery testing and optimizing battery testing procedures
- Conducting materials characterization and analysis
- Contributing to determining anode product strategies and identifying chemical and synthesis design spaces that address current and future customer needs
We're seeking a candidate with a Ph.D. in a relevant technical field, such as chemistry, physics, or materials science, with at least 2 years of hands-on battery development experience. You'll need to have in-depth knowledge of Li-ion battery cell materials, operation, performance, and failure modes, as well as hands-on experience in material characterization and analysis.
