As an IEC Engineer at Network and Data Solutions Integrators (NDSI), you will tackle intricate challenges by providing tailored solutions that meet the distinct needs of our clients. Impact of the Role
The engineering division seeks a proactive Senior Systems Engineer capable of strategically aligning technology with business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess self-awareness, adaptability, and a strong motivation to excel in project coordination and multi-technology communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Senior Engineering and Project Integration teams to evaluate, document, and monitor both existing and new program requirements.
- Contribute to the program by creating artifacts, architectural documentation, and integrating diverse sources into a unified product, along with preparing graphical and narrative presentations.
- Assist in the integration and testing of specific components within complex hardware/software systems.
- Engage with engineers across various contracts to develop architectural artifacts that encompass technical, physical, and logical designs supporting a portfolio of managed services.
- Oversee service line communication channels to address immediate needs throughout the day.
- Facilitate comprehensive solutions development by leveraging expertise from multiple contracts and service lanes to produce and document environments.
- Manage assigned service tickets and coordinate their resolution as necessary.
Basic Qualifications
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Systems Engineer in complex, multi-site enterprise environments, accompanied by a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science).
- Proficient in drafting detailed technical documentation.
- Compliance with 8570 standards.
- Possession of an active TS/SCI clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated accountability, ownership, and a commitment to continuous improvement (e.g., industry certifications, further education).
- Experience in IT project integration tasks, including:
- Presenting to internal and external leadership.
- Managing project control gates and tracking tasks.
- Collaborating across various service lanes.
- Creating technical diagrams using Microsoft Visio.
- Utilizing project tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, KanBan Boards).
- Adeptness in learning and applying new technologies, with an emphasis on staying current with emerging tools and technologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal abilities.
Desired Qualifications
Expertise in one of the following areas, along with a working knowledge of others:
- Networking technologies (e.g., Juniper, Cisco).
- Firewall technologies (e.g., Cisco ASA, Palo Alto).
- Virtualization infrastructures (e.g., VMware).
