Cardiology Technician Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cardiology Technician to join our team at Denver Health. As a Cardiology Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our cardiac services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform patient arrhythmia monitor enrollment, application, scanning, and reporting under general supervision.
  • Administer exercise, cardiopulmonary, and pharmacological stress tests under direct supervision.
  • Obtain patient history, answer patient questions, and explain procedures.
  • Enter demographics, medications, and billing data into the computer.
  • Insert intravenous lines in patients for testing utilizing pharmacological agents.
  • Perform emergency care on patients as needed.
  • Set up and ensure proper functioning of testing and monitoring equipment.
  • Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, quality improvement, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
  • Perform resting 12-lead electrocardiograms.
Requirements:
  • Post High School Diploma or Certificate Program required.
  • Six months with electrocardiogram interpretation preferred.
  • BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association required.
