Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Care Manager - Medication Administration Specialist to join our team. As a Medication Care Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest degree of quality care and services for our residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications and treatments in a safe and organized manner
  • Review and document medication administration records
  • Collaborate with the Resident Care Director and Wellness Nurse to ensure accurate medication administration
  • Ensure that medications are passed according to schedule and document any refusals or missed doses
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident information and adhere to infection control techniques
  • Report any resident concerns or accidents to the Resident Care Director or Wellness Nurse
  • Restock medication carts and maintain a clean and organized medication room
  • Assist in checking medication regardless of packaging system
  • Count narcotics with another Medication Care Manager or Lead Care Manager each shift
  • Participate in daily Cross Over meetings and contribute to the development of Individualized Service Plans (ISPs)
  • Partner with the community team to ensure compliance with OSHA and Occupational Health and Safety Regulation requirements

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • CPR and First Aid certification required
  • Previous experience working with seniors preferred
  • Ability to make choices and decisions in the best interest of residents
  • Ability to react and remain calm in difficult situations
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and possess good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
