Job Title: Traffic Engineer

We are seeking a talented Civil Traffic Engineer to join our team in the Blue Ash, OH office. As a member of our design team, you will support the development of multimodal transportation analysis for projects ranging from small municipal initiatives to large, complex system interchanges.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for Civil Traffic Engineering and Operations. This role involves using analytical tools and software to perform transportation analyses, leading the development of study reports, and providing support for transportation planning efforts.

Responsibilities:
  • Traffic operational analysis using microsimulation and deterministic models
  • Traffic design, including Advanced Traffic Signal Controllers (ATC) traffic signal/systems, signing/marking, lighting, Advanced Transportation Management Systems (ATMS), and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)
  • Roadway design
  • Traffic Impact Studies
  • Safety Studies
  • Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) planning and analysis
  • Highway/roadway safety analyses
  • Multimodal analysis; bicycle and pedestrian studies
  • Support for transportation planning efforts
  • Corridor studies
  • Traffic engineering studies such as speed studies, signal warrants, parking studies, access management, travel time, traffic impact studies, etc.

Qualifications:
  • BS in Civil Engineering, required
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience with traffic engineering
  • EIT preferred
  • Must have a passion for Traffic Engineering and Operations
  • Proficiency with or strong desire to learn, SignCad, Synchro/SimTraffic, McTrans HCS7, and other traffic operational software, as well as Microsoft Office products
  • Experience with CAD software, with emphasis on MicroStation and Civil 3D
  • Knowledge of transportation safety analysis
  • Experience supporting proposal development
  • Analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and written/verbal communication skills

Estimated Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
