About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced RF/Antenna Application Engineer to join our Customer Excellence team. As a key member of our team, you'll work closely with customers to engineer what's ahead, solve real-world engineering problems, and deploy Ansys software in their design workflows. Your expertise in designing and simulating microwave components, antennas, and RF components will be invaluable in helping us deliver innovative solutions to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead in coordinating and executing all technical activities throughout the sales opportunity lifecycle, including technical discovery, product presentations, demonstrations, and evaluations.
  • Interact with customers to understand their product design needs and engineering design workflows, and analyze how to address their requirements using Ansys products and platform.
  • Assist in creating differentiating simulation solutions using the Ansys platform and products, and deploy these solutions within customers' design workflows.
  • Develop competence as a subject matter expert and industry expert, and collaborate with Ansys product development teams to translate customer requirements into exciting new product features.
  • Support Ansys field and digital marketing, author conference presentations, and contribute to consulting services and training classes.
Requirements
  • BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in an engineering software environment.
  • Demonstrated use of relevant Ansys software or knowledge of other commercial CAE, CAD, EDA, PLM software packages.
  • Experience with antenna applications or RF component design, and coupled RF-thermal simulations.
  • Design knowledge of antennas, RF components, matching networks, and installed antenna performance.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge and previous usage of ANSYS HFSS, ANSYS SIwave, ANSYS Q3D Extractor, or other simulation software involving real-world, industry-level applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BS+8, MS+6, or PhD+3 years of professional experience in an engineering software environment.
  • 2 years of experience in application engineering, customer support, or consulting services type customer-facing roles using engineering software.
  • Ability to interact effectively with senior business managers and C-level executives.
