AdventHealth Primary Care Network is seeking a board certified/board eligible family medicine physician to join an existing practice in Ocala, Florida. Our primary care group is aligned with AdventHealth specialty physicians and uses leading technology, innovation, and compassion to deliver whole-person care. We offer a unique opportunity for a family medicine physician to practice medicine as it should be and utilize all of their clinical skills-preventive care, chronic disease management, acute care, and office-based procedures.

At work, you will experience:

  • Work Life Balance Schedule. Shared call. No weekend office hours.
  • Shared Call. Practice call only. No hospital rounding. Nurse triage support for call coverage.
  • Patient Census. Expect to see between 18-24 patients per day utilizing the efficiencies of EPIC, electronic medical record.
  • Dedicated Admin Time. 4 hours weekly.
  • Flex Scheduling. 4- or 5- day work schedule options.
  • Clinic Support Team. Includes one dedicated medical assistant (MA), front office staff, and a practice administrator.
  • Specialty Network. Comprehensive team of specialists and ancillary services available to provide full spectrum of care for your patients' needs.
  • Clinical Utilization. You will have the opportunity to practice medicine as it should be and utilize all of your clinical skills-preventive care, chronic disease management, acute care, and office-based procedures.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proficiency with minor office-based procedures including, but not limited to joint injections, and minor dermatologic procedures
  • Board Certification in Family Medicine (or Board Eligibility within 3 years of completing a US based residency program)
  • Active FL medical license (or ability to secure active, unrestricted licensure)
  • Active DEA license (or ability to obtain)
  • Experience with or willingness to supervise Advanced Practice Providers (APRN & PA-C)
