Locums Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary:

Aya Locums is seeking a bilingual Nurse Practitioner to provide occupational health services to employees in a factory setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in occupational medicine, be fully bilingual in English and Spanish, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide occupational health services to employees, including conducting medical evaluations, prescribing medications, and ordering lab tests.
  • Collaborate with other health professionals, such as remote mental health therapists and visiting EHS experts, to provide comprehensive care.
  • Manage ongoing employee injuries, illnesses, or wellness commitments, building relationships with employees to see their health and lifestyle holistically.
  • Focus on improving EHS standards by providing employees with protocols and best practices for EHS within the workplace.
  • Prescribe and administer medications following all regulations.
  • Order and administer lab tests, such as drug screens and strep tests.
  • Work with Teladoc doctors to set up remote consultations for employees.
  • Record all patient interactions and patient progress in our health records system.
Requirements:
  • Must be licensed in the state of CA with a clean license and no malpractice reports.
  • BLS and CPR certification preferred.
Work Environment:

The clinic is located in a factory setting, and the ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a diverse population.
