Dental Care Specialist

We are a dynamic and patient-focused dental practice seeking a highly skilled Dental Assistant II to join our team at our Garner location.
As a Dental Assistant II, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dentists in delivering top-notch treatment. If you are passionate about delivering outstanding patient experiences and are committed to excellence, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities- Assist dentists in providing dental treatment, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare and present treatment plans to patients, addressing their concerns and needs.
- Schedule patient appointments, taking into account potential obstacles and ensuring efficient use of time.
- Maintain dental instruments, supplies, and equipment, adhering to high standards of hygiene and safety.
- Collect and record patient health histories, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Assist with patient management during dental procedures, providing emotional support and reassurance.
- Complete instrument cleaning and sterilization, as well as post-op sanitization of treatment rooms, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Prepare dental materials and equipment as needed for scheduled treatments, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
- Complete dental charting, accurately documenting patient information and treatment plans.
- Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimizing waste.
- DAII Training or equivalent.
- Preferred 2-5 years of Dental Assistant experience.
- Achieved CDA certification, or completed radiological equivalency exam through NC State Board of Dental Examiners, or completed CODA-accredited dental assisting program.
- CPR certified, or will become CPR certified within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to professionally present clinical information regarding treatment plans and insurance information to patients.
- Knowledge of Eaglesoft and/or Denticon software a plus.
- Regular and timely attendance.
- Ability to demonstrate independent thinking and exercise good judgment, formulating and implementing operating practices.
- Ability to demonstrate a teamwork approach to job responsibilities.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative, dependability, and promptness.
- Must perform frequent repetitive work with attention to detail.
- Must have the ability to be flexible and accept different work assignments within the practice, including traveling to other locations, with a positive approach.
- Ability to follow instructions and take responsibility for own actions.
- Ability to exercise confidentiality with patients and patient care.
- Must listen attentively for clarification to ensure necessary outcomes.
