About the Role

Vets Hired is seeking a skilled Estimator II to join our team. As an Estimator II, you will play a crucial role in reviewing and analyzing project plans and specifications to produce accurate estimates for assigned projects.

Main Responsibilities
  • Prepare preliminary estimates using industry best practices and software such as HCSS.
  • Upload bid items for proper bidding and ensure timely submission of proposals.
  • Support the estimating team by preparing job-specific narratives for proposals.
  • Deliver high-quality bid proposals that meet client requirements.
  • Collaborate with the admin team on GFE outreach and other tasks as assigned.
  • Perform detailed takeoffs on area and count items.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings as required.
  • Collect bid documents for target projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Technology or equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating, cost control, or engineering-related fields.
  • Clean driving record.
