Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, conduct, and technically direct projects or major phases of significant project assignments, coordinating the efforts of technical support staff and suppliers in the performance of assigned projects.
  • Develop and review statements of work and statements of requirements for compliance with L3Harris safety protocols and US Government safety specifications and requirements documents.
  • Interpret analytical and experimental data, including forecasting the significance of the conclusions reached on future related work.
  • Collaborate with external suppliers to oversee experiments and develop and present information to leadership.
  • Travel up to 25% within the US and obtain a US security clearance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior energetics engineering experience, or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior energetics engineering experience, or minimum of 13 years of prior energetics engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 4 years of experience with mixing plastics, polymers, and polymer-based compositions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Chemical Engineering degree or combination of chemistry degree and engineering degree.
  • Working knowledge of the application of DOD M and associated supporting documentation.
  • Project management experience and experience with MS Project.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment and experience planning, documenting results of experiments, and recommending next steps.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
