Job Title: Optical Manager

Warby Parker is seeking a highly skilled Optical Manager to join our in-house Optical team. As a leader in the eyewear industry, we're committed to providing exceptional vision care to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of Opticians and provide guidance on optical duties
  • Work directly with customers to meet their eyewear needs, including taking and recording measurements, adjusting and fitting eyewear, and ensuring it meets our optical standards
  • Manage a team of Opticians, providing feedback, development conversations, and leading by example on the floor
  • Uphold exceptional service standards, implement retail experience programs, and promote a productive, safe culture in the store
  • Support general store systems, inventory databases, and business operations
Requirements:
  • Licensed dispensing optician in states that require a license or ABO-certified optician in non-licensing states
  • 2+ years of experience in a management position
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a focus on driving optical metrics and adhering to strict optical standards
  • Ability to operate with a high sense of professionalism and open-mindedness when making decisions on behalf of the team
  • Passion for the eyewear and retail industries
  • Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to break down technical terms for customers
  • Dedication to going above-and-beyond to make customers and teammates happy
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of prioritizing tasks and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
