Travel Nurse RN Labor and Delivery Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN Labor and Delivery Specialist to join our team at HealthEcareers - Client. As a Labor and Delivery RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting.
Job Summary:- Provide direct patient care to labor and delivery patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians, and document patient responses and outcomes.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to physicians and other healthcare team members.
- Participate in emergency situations, such as code blues and obstetric emergencies.
- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop individualized care plans to meet those needs.
- Provide education to patients and their families on labor and delivery processes, pain management, and postpartum care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient care and outcomes in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Current RN licensure in the state of employment.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in labor and delivery nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull equipment and supplies as needed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
