Fenton Community High School District 100 seeks a reliable and vigilant Campus Security Officer to maintain a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Job Summary:

This role involves overseeing the school campus through cameras and assigned stations, patrolling areas to prevent any potential threats, and collaborating with Deans to address security concerns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Campus Monitoring: Ensure the safety of the school community by monitoring CCTV cameras and assigned stations.
  • Patrols and Investigations: Conduct regular patrols to identify and mitigate potential security risks, and assist Deans in investigating incidents as needed.
  • Support Services: Provide escort services for tardy students, monitor hallways and entrances for unauthorized visitors, and supervise detention sessions as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Educational Background: A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in Spanish is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to walk and stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
Working Conditions:

The selected candidate will work varied hours depending on their shift assignment. The ideal candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond promptly to emergency situations.

Estimated Salary:

The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $43,000 - $55,000 based on national averages and cost-of-living adjustments for the region.
