Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service to physicians and other healthcare professionals, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of patient admissions.
- Utilize strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities, ensuring efficient and effective bed assignments.
- Collaborate with the Patient Accommodation Staff and Administrative Supervisor to plan and assign hospital beds, ensuring optimal patient care and satisfaction.
- Collect and verify clinical information to facilitate accurate patient status and level of care determination.
- Facilitate the transfer of patients from physician offices and other healthcare facilities to DCH RMC and NMC, ensuring compliance with established processes and policies.
- Serve as a liaison between patients, physicians, and hospital staff, providing clear and concise communication and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of patient registration and account data into the Hospital Computer System.
- Collaborate with Nursing Supervisor and/or Manager of Patient Accommodations to address patient placement concerns and ensure optimal patient care.
- Current Alabama Registered Nurse License
- 5 years RN experience preferred
- Critical Care or ED experience preferred
- DCH experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Communicate effectively with diverse personalities and engage in face-to-face discussions
- Deal with conflict and difficult situations in a professional manner
- Communicate clearly and accurately, both verbally and in writing
- Receive delegation and work collaboratively with others
