Job Summary

Smith-Boughan, Inc., a leading mechanical contractor in West Central Ohio, is seeking a highly skilled BIM Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create coordinated BIM models for HVAC piping, plumbing, and sheet metal systems using Autodesk Revit.
  • Collaborate with project personnel to resolve BIM-related issues and ensure effective communication with construction managers and field crews.
  • Conduct BIM clash detection process as required.
  • Review contract drawings/specifications and submittals.
  • Produce drawings for fabrication and installation of duct and piping systems.
  • Coordinate models across disciplines using Navisworks software.
  • Utilize and provide support for robotic total station (RTS) on jobsites.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of building construction, general construction, and HVAC and plumbing systems installation.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Autodesk AutoCAD, Navisworks Manage, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to interpret instructions, identify problem areas, and formulate corrective measures.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
