Leading Plastic Surgeon for Acute Care Opportunities in Michigan

We are seeking a board-certified plastic surgeon to join our on-call group at a Level II trauma center near Kalamazoo, Michigan. As a locum tenens provider, you will have the opportunity to deliver essential care and make a real difference in acute situations, focusing on facial trauma and other surgical needs.

Key Responsibilities- Respond promptly to on-call situations, providing timely consultations and interventions for adult patients with facial trauma and other surgical needs.
- Perform a variety of plastic surgery procedures, including facial laceration repairs, scar revisions, skin grafts, flaps, facial reconstruction for facial fractures, and all trauma-related oral surgery cases.
- Collaborate effectively with the on-call team, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care during on-call periods.
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently within the facility's electronic medical records system.
- Current board certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery is mandatory.
- Valid and active medical license in the state of Michigan (or willingness to obtain one) is required.
- Experience performing a variety of plastic surgery procedures, including facial laceration repairs, scar revisions, skin grafts, flaps, facial reconstruction for facial fractures, and all trauma-related oral surgery cases is essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, colleagues, and staff.
- The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment is crucial.
