Position Overview

IOTA Community Schools is in search of dedicated Kinesiology Educators for the Memphis region for the forthcoming academic year. Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive unit plans and lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of all students, with clearly defined, standards-aligned objectives and suitable assessments to evaluate student understanding.
  • Engage in bi-weekly coaching sessions and professional development to internalize content, teaching strategies, and classroom management techniques to enhance your instructional practice.
  • Collaborate in a supportive learning environment with fellow educators, including grade-level teams, content groups, and ongoing professional development throughout the academic year.
  • Fulfill school-based responsibilities, which may include student consultations, arrival and dismissal supervision, transitions, lunch monitoring, and other duties as assigned by school leadership.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Candidates must possess either (a) a valid Tennessee teaching license with the appropriate content endorsement or (b) a valid out-of-state license that can be successfully transferred to Tennessee within 90 days of employment, or (c) demonstrate progress towards certification in Tennessee.
  • *If you do not currently hold a teaching license, you may be eligible for a Practitioner license while completing graduate coursework, provided you enroll in an Educator Preparation Program.

Additional Information

The salary for this position is determined by years of certified experience, ranging from $51,500 to $75,250. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package and the chance to make a significant impact within a growing, mission-driven organization dedicated to the success of all students.
