Patient Care Technician Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Provide Patient Care: Provide physical, psychosocial, and educational support to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
  • Safe Patient Outcomes: Implement safe practices to prevent errors and ensure effective patient outcomes.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, nursing colleagues, and other healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement and take initiative to enhance patient care and satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Certification: AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification within 60 days of hire.
  • Experience: At least one year of PCT or CNA experience in a hospital setting, or eligibility for the HMH PCT apprentice program.
