Job Title: System/Network Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled System/Network Manager to join our team at Health Research, Inc. (HRI). As a key member of our Information Technology (IT) department, you will be responsible for overseeing the administration of our information technology systems and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the administration of network architecture and infrastructure, including procurement of infrastructure hardware and services.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure to support the ELC - Advanced Molecular Detection grant.
  • Oversee staff engaged in supporting network administration, system administration, and infrastructure design and maintenance.
  • Perform diagnostic analysis of the network, plan upgrades and patches to network infrastructure, and document network systems and policies.
  • Ensure network and data security, and contribute to strategic planning for network administration with medium- and long-term goals.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and four years of computer networking experience, or an Associate's degree and six years of such experience, or eight years of such experience.
  • At least five years of expertise with TCP/IP networking, common protocols, and firewalls, and at least three years of experience supporting VPN implementations.
  • Experience or specific training relevant to information security, and CCNA or CCDA certification.
  • At least three years of network monitoring and troubleshooting, and experience deploying and maintaining cloud services hosted on GCP, AWS, or other platforms.
  • Experience operating Linux in an enterprise setting, and proficiency with scripting, automation, or orchestration technologies such as PowerShell, Python, Jenkins, GitLab, or others.
