Job Summary

Medical City Heart & Spine Hospitals is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in preparing patients for scans and furnishing diagnostic information to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, perform a variety of duties in preparing patients for scans, including administering pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Operate and maintain various Nuclear Medicine cameras and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  • Administer pre-medication and radioactive isotopes to patients, and transfer them to examining tables.
  • Scan patients using gamma cameras, making proper settings to ensure accurate results.

Requirements

  • CPR certification
  • State Registered Radiologic Technician
  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology Program
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB), or Registered Radiographer (ARRT)
  • 1 year of experience preferred, but not required
