Licensed Practical Nurse

The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a compassionate and adaptable Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team as a Travel LPN. This opportunity allows an LPN to travel locally by working in various GSS locations within a 150-mile radius from home address, providing care with competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexibility, and no contract requirement.
About the RoleThis position offers a unique blend of independence and collaboration. As a Travel LPN, you will work closely with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to residents in need. You will be responsible for assessing residents' physical and psychosocial needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure seamless resident care.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, treatments, and performing testing as ordered
- Conduct thorough assessments of residents' physical and psychosocial needs, identifying areas for improvement and developing targeted interventions
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident
- Document resident interactions, outcomes, and progress, maintaining accurate and comprehensive records
- Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and healthcare providers to ensure informed decision-making and coordination of care
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A graduate degree from an accredited practical nursing program and an active LPN license in good standing
- At least 400 hours of experience as an LPN or completion of a pre-licensure nursing program with supervised clinical experience across the lifespan
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary care team
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
We offer a competitive compensation package, including:
- $24-$36 per hour, depending on location and experience
- Mileage reimbursement for travel between GSS locations
