Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Asphalt Equipment Technician to join our team at Allan Myers. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of our production asphalt paving and milling equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on asphalt paving and milling equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to equipment technicians and service personnel as needed.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all repairs meet quality standards and minimize recall or duplicate work.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all governmental and company safety policies to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Communication: Develop effective communication with field personnel, dispatch, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
  • Tool Management: Review and recommend tool requirements to optimize work efficiency.
  • Training and Development: Participate in technical training and share knowledge with other mechanics to enhance skills and expertise.
  • Parts Management: Collaborate with parts personnel to ensure timely delivery of parts and materials.
  • Teamwork: Work closely with internal departments, field managers, and superintendents to achieve operational goals.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1 year of experience in repairing asphalt paving and milling equipment.
  • Education: High school diploma, GED, or trade school preferred.
  • Skills: Knowledge of heavy construction machinery, diagnostic capabilities, and ability to make repair decisions quickly and rationally.
  • Certifications: Valid driver's license and ability to work independently and safely.
