Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Service Technician Trainee to join our team at DXP Enterprises. As a Service Technician Trainee, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service and repair to our customers' air compressors and related equipment.

Your primary focus will be on identifying additional parts, equipment, or services that our customers may need and providing leads to our sales team. You will also be responsible for performing service, writing reports, and communicating with customers about any issues they may be unaware of.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. You will also need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities
  • Perform service and repair on air compressors and related equipment
  • Identify additional parts, equipment, or services needed by customers and provide leads to sales team
  • Communicate with customers about any issues they may be unaware of
  • Write reports and maintain accurate records
  • Work independently or as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives
  • Adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
  • Broad knowledge and experience in the industry
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and desire to learn
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Good time management skills
  • Clean driving record
  • Professional certifications a plus
Working Conditions

The Service Technician Trainee will work in a warehouse environment, which may be hot, cold, or dirty at times. The employee must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally. The employee must also be able to work in various industrial environments and wear and use proper PPE at all times.
