Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to oversee event production for Competition Services at Palisades Tahoe. This role requires strong communication skills, ability to work in high-pressure situations, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate event logistics, including setup and teardown of timing systems, and ensure timely execution of events.
  • Collaborate with marketing team to promote upcoming events and develop marketing materials.
  • Work closely with ski and snowboard sales desk to ensure seamless event operations.
  • Develop and implement ongoing training programs for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Assist in scheduling employees and planning events to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all customers and employees, ensuring a positive experience at all times.
Requirements:
  • Chief of Race and Chief of Course certification through USSA.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Excellent math skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in event management, particularly in ski racing.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Other Officials certifications from USSA.
Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this role include:

  • Regularly walking, talking, seeing, hearing, and smelling.
  • Frequently using hands and fingers to feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Occasionally lifting and pushing or pulling 100 lbs. or more, and frequently lifting, pushing, or pulling, and carrying up to 45 lbs.
  • Walking on uneven terrain, snow, and ice, and skiing on difficult terrain in varying weather conditions.
Working Conditions:

The work environment for this role includes:

  • Regularly working in outside weather conditions on a snow surface.
  • Frequently working near moving mechanical parts.
  • Occasionally exposed to extreme cold and wet conditions.
