We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to oversee event production for Competition Services at Palisades Tahoe. This role requires strong communication skills, ability to work in high-pressure situations, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate event logistics, including setup and teardown of timing systems, and ensure timely execution of events.
- Collaborate with marketing team to promote upcoming events and develop marketing materials.
- Work closely with ski and snowboard sales desk to ensure seamless event operations.
- Develop and implement ongoing training programs for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Assist in scheduling employees and planning events to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all customers and employees, ensuring a positive experience at all times.
- Chief of Race and Chief of Course certification through USSA.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong computer skills, including Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Excellent math skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in event management, particularly in ski racing.
- Other Officials certifications from USSA.
The physical demands of this role include:
- Regularly walking, talking, seeing, hearing, and smelling.
- Frequently using hands and fingers to feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Occasionally lifting and pushing or pulling 100 lbs. or more, and frequently lifting, pushing, or pulling, and carrying up to 45 lbs.
- Walking on uneven terrain, snow, and ice, and skiing on difficult terrain in varying weather conditions.
The work environment for this role includes:
- Regularly working in outside weather conditions on a snow surface.
- Frequently working near moving mechanical parts.
- Occasionally exposed to extreme cold and wet conditions.
