Job Title: Medical Surgical RN Travel Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Surgical RN to join our team as a travel nurse in Henderson, North Carolina. As a Medical Surgical RN, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and making a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.

Job Summary:

This Medical Surgical RN travel nurse position is a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week. You will be working 12-hour night shifts, providing care to a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients. As a Medical Surgical RN, you will be responsible for conducting patient assessments, prioritizing data collection, and providing ongoing assessments and treatments as ordered by a physician.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients.
  • Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
  • Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
  • Prepare equipment and aid physician during examination and treatment of patient.
  • Educate patients on surgical procedures.
  • Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plan as prescribed by physician.
Requirements:
  • BLS certification.
  • 1.5 years of experience as a Medical Surgical RN.
