Job Description

Tenet-AZ Region is seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Monitor Technician to join their team in Phoenix, Arizona.

About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to provide high-quality patient care as a Critical Care Monitor Technician. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for monitoring patients' cardiac rhythms, identifying irregularities, and communicating critical information to nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain and document EKG interpretations at rest and with exercise modalities.
  • Recognize, report, and communicate EKG changes to nursing staff.
  • Assess and prioritize a rapidly changing workload, completing tasks in a timely manner.
  • Participate in department management by providing input at meetings and reading communication.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including organizing supplies, tracking, stocking, and storing equipment.
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms for selected patients, recognizing significant rhythm changes and life-threatening rhythms.
  • Communicate rhythm changes with patients' nurses and charge nurses.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
  • PREFERRED: Completion of a Cardiac Monitor Technician program designed for unlicensed healthcare providers.
  • PREFERRED: One year of hospital monitor tech experience.
  • Within 90 days of hire, completion of a basic EKG course or EKG exam required.
