Aerospace TIG Welder Job Description

At Selmet, we're a world-class supplier of titanium castings and components for the aerospace industry. We have multiple facilities in Albany, OR.

We're seeking an experienced TIG Welder I to join our team, responsible for welding in a chamber under argon atmosphere on titanium castings. This role involves:

  • Titanium TIG welding in a chamber to repair castings, adhering to applicable procedures
  • Maintaining equipment and work areas clean and orderly

To be successful in this position, you'll need:

  • Completion of a formal vocation program or prior TIG welding experience (1-2 years)
  • Ability to pass a welding test within 4-6 weeks of being in the role
  • Continuous mental and/or visual attention to detail

This is a full-time, swing shift position ($22-$25 per hour), Monday-Thursday. Weekend day shifts are also available with a $1 shift differential. Relocation assistance may be available to qualified candidates.
