Position Overview:

  • Prepare patients for their appointments by completing essential pre-visit processes, including documenting the primary concern, measuring vital signs, reviewing medical history and allergies, and performing thorough medication reconciliations.
  • Assist with necessary in-office procedures, which may include drawing blood, conducting mental health assessments, performing EKGs, and executing point-of-care tests.
  • Administer vaccinations and other injections as permitted within your scope of practice.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments in accordance with office protocols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and the clinical team to ensure effective implementation of care plans.

Qualifications:

Primary Care Assistant - Healthcare Assistant:
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Certification: BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
Preferred Experience: At least 6 months of clinical experience in a healthcare setting, ideally within a primary care environment.

Primary Care - Certified Healthcare Assistant:
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Certification: Active certification as a Medical Assistant (RMA, CCMA, CMA) is required, along with BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
