About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team at StandardAero. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for operating machine tools to produce high-quality parts and components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and layouts to determine machining operations.
  • Compute dimensions and tolerances, and measure and lay out work pieces.
  • Verify product dimensions for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
  • Troubleshoot and debug machining operations to achieve expected performance.
  • Adjust and set up machine tools for use by machining tool operators.
  • Participate in continuous improvement of cell processes and cross-train in other complementary skills.
Requirements
  • High degree of mechanical aptitude, accuracy, and precision.
  • Thorough knowledge of manufacturing, tool design, fabrication methods, and processes.
  • Working knowledge of welding, hydraulics, electricity, and pneumatics.
  • Proficient in the operation of Manual VTL, Lathes, and Mills.
  • Prior experience in machine set-ups and tool changes is preferred.
