Job Opportunity at Children's Therapy Center

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Speech Therapist to join our team at Children's Therapy Center. As a member of our Early Support for Infants & Toddlers (ESIT) Team, you will play a vital role in providing individualized, family-centered therapy to infants and toddlers with special needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct family-centered screenings, evaluations, and ongoing assessments to inform eligibility determination and contribute to full evaluation reports.
  • Collaborate with caregivers to develop and implement Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) that support healthy development and well-being.
  • Provide coaching and support to caregivers in the home, natural environment, and/or telehealth settings, utilizing a coaching model that promotes health, well-being, and development.
  • Develop strong relationships with caregivers and work collaboratively with community members and multi-disciplinary ESIT team to meet family needs.
  • Participate in team meetings, staffing, in-services, peer coaching/consultation, and ensure compliance with Children's Therapy Center's, IDEA Part B & C's processes, policies, and timelines.
Requirements
  • Degree in speech and hearing sciences or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Must have or obtain a SLP license in the State of Washington.
  • Must have or obtain ASHA Certification.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification, required.
  • Strong communication and listening skills, with the ability to convey thoughts and express ideas effectively.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to organize work to meet various commitments and responsibilities.
  • Ability to anticipate potential challenges and adjust to changes as needed.
  • Collaborative and participatory, with a deep passion for empowering children with special needs and supporting their families.
