Key Responsibilities- Design and Develop AI-Powered Conversational Systems: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy conversational AI systems that enable users to collaborate with generative AI and augment their imagination, curiosity, and productivity.
- Lead Technical Design Reviews: Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies and ensure the best practices are followed.
- Code Review and Quality Assurance: Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure adherence to style guidelines, accuracy, testability, and efficiency.
- Triage and Debug Product Issues: Triage product or system issues, debug, track, and resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and their impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
- 5+ Years of Experience in Software Development: Proven experience in software development in one or more programming languages, with a strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- 3+ Years of Experience in Software Testing and Maintenance: Experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, with a focus on quality assurance and debugging.
- 1+ Year of Experience in Software Design and Architecture: Experience designing and architecting software systems, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field, with experience in technical leadership roles and developing accessible technologies.
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Gemini team, you will have the opportunity to work on a critical project that aligns with Google's strategic goals, with a competitive salary range of $161,000-$239,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, and individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
