Dewberry is seeking an experienced Geospatial Project Manager to lead the development and process improvements of advanced geospatial technologies, including topobathymetric lidar sensors, satellite-derived bathymetric data, and crewed or uncrewed surface vehicles.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement process improvements for the creation of bathymetric data from various sources.
- Lead the continued development of advanced geospatial technologies, including topobathymetric lidar sensors and satellite-derived bathymetric data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and delivery.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams on topobathymetric lidar sensors and related technologies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and expectations are exceeded.
- Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Engineering, Oceanography, or related field.
- Working knowledge of lidar classification and DEM creation.
- Working knowledge of topobathy lidar sensors, including the Riegl 880G II and Optech CZMIL SuperNova.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, especially MS Office (Word, Excel, and Access).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Master's degree in Geography, GIS, or related field.
- Engineering background and/or understanding of lidar sensor design, troubleshooting, or repairs.
- Experience in other airborne sensors (imagery, hyperspectral, radar/InSAR/IFSAR, gravimetric/magnetic).
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) with remote sensing experience.
- Specific experience working with Riegl topobathymetric sensors and Optech CZMIL topobathymetric sensors.
- Working knowledge of Teledyne CARIS software suite.
- Working knowledge of Riegl RiAquire, RiProcess, and RiHydro.
- Experience working with NOAA's Coastal Mapping program.
- Ability to analyze bathymetric lidar waveforms.
- Understanding of the physics of the interaction of light and water.
