Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Medicine Journal. As a key member of our respiratory care department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the development of our respiratory therapy services.

Responsibilities
  • Provide critical care and general floor care assessment and treatment to patients of all ages, from school-age to older adults.
  • Collaborate with the CQI team to collect data and implement improvements in respiratory care.
  • Assume preceptor responsibilities for new employees and peers in advanced training.
  • Participate in clinical training of students from respiratory programs and assist with research projects related to respiratory care.
  • Develop and implement effective utilization of technology in respiratory care.
Requirements
  • Associate of Science in Respiratory Care or graduate of an NBRC and AMA-approved program.
  • One year of clinical experience as a respiratory therapist, with clinical training from an accredited program.
  • State-approved license to practice respiratory care in Tennessee, ABG endorsement, and current AHA BLS certification.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field, two to three years of critical care experience, and current ACLS/PALS/NRP certification.
