Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Technician to join our team. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety and comfort of patients during their stay in the center. You will conduct security screening, intervene with escalated individuals, and perform restraints/seclusions when necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the safety and comfort of patients during their stay in the center
  • Conduct security screening and inventory property of individuals upon admission to the facility
  • Intervene with escalated individuals using therapeutic techniques for de-escalation and perform restraints/seclusions when needed
  • Lift, move, and transport individuals using proper body mechanics or lifting devices for accident prevention
  • Assist individuals with activities of daily living, including eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, and transferring
  • Conduct and document individual's vitals and report all questionable results to the RN/Physician attending the individual
  • Conduct and document all BAL, urine drug screens, and urine pregnancy tests
  • Document all services and significant individual interactions in the electronic health record
  • Monitor and document patients' Q30
  • Maintain and ensure the cleanliness of the facility and designated assigned unit
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card, or ability to obtain upon hire
  • 1-3 years' experience within a behavioral health setting working in a similar role
  • Compassionate attitude towards patients
  • Exceptional listening and communication skills
  • Food Handlers Card desired or willingness to obtain
