Oversees a designated group of patients.
Records patient reactions to nursing actions and prescribed medical treatments; documents any modifications in physician orders for assigned patients.
Assists the physician during patient examinations and in executing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.
Collects and monitors physiological data of patients, observes their physiological signs, and intervenes when necessary.
Administers medications as prescribed. Initiates, regulates, and oversees intravenous infusions and blood products. Provides competent patient care.
Conducts phlebotomy tasks, basic laboratory procedures, wound cultures, Point of Care testing, and other care interventions within the scope of practice and under the direction of the prescribing practitioner.
