UPMC Life Changing Medicine is seeking a Professional Staff Nurse to join their team at the Child Advocacy Center.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and families, and will be able to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

The Child Advocacy Center is a mission-driven department that provides medical examinations and support services to children who have experienced abuse or neglect.

The Professional Staff Nurse will work closely with the CRNP to provide medical care, take photos, conduct colposcopic examinations, and draw blood.

This is a casual position, with the ideal candidate being available on Tuesdays and Fridays between 8a and 4:30p.

Occasional travel to the Harrisburg office may be required.

The Professional Staff Nurse will be responsible for:

  • Providing high-quality patient care and support to children and families.
  • Working closely with the CRNP to provide medical care and support services.
  • Conducting medical examinations and taking photos as needed.
  • Supporting the CRNP in conducting colposcopic examinations and drawing blood.
  • Providing education and support to patients and families.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in the state where the facility is located.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting certification.
  • Act 33 certification.
  • Act 34 certification.
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance certification.
