DTI/X-ray Technologist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled DTI/X-ray Technologist to join our team at RAYUS Radiology. As a DTI/X-ray Technologist, you will be responsible for performing routine and advanced DTI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform DTI procedures with minimal supervision or repeats
  • Screen patients before exams for any precautions or contradictions
  • Prepare patients for DTI procedures, explaining the procedure and positioning patients for optimal scanning
  • Adjust equipment as necessary to ensure high-quality images
  • Maintain positive working relationships with radiologists, referring customers, and other associates and peers
  • Converse with doctors, nurses, patients, and family members as required
  • Follow physicians' orders precisely and conform to safety regulations to protect patients, coworkers, and yourself
  • Accurately maintain patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS)
  • Maintain an orderly and clean work area to promote good safety habits
  • Clean and disinfect equipment after each use
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Assist in maintaining an updated radiographic protocol manual and software upgrades
  • Monitor medical supply inventory
  • Assist with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise
