Role Overview: As a Process Engineer, you will leverage your engineering expertise to manage and enhance process control systems and procedures throughout the production lifecycle. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the efficiency and quality of our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to and strive to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service.
- Implement practices that ensure product safety and compliance with relevant regulations and company standards.
- Commit to safety protocols and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Oversee and execute projects of moderate to large scale, ensuring timely completion.
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and designers to coordinate project efforts.
- Lead discussions on process failures, conducting audits and investigations to standardize solutions across facilities.
- Conduct feasibility studies for various manufacturing processes.
- Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with process equipment.
- Analyze and propose engineering solutions, documenting findings and recommendations.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for equipment processes.
- Work closely with production teams to gather insights and improve processes and products.
- Create testing parameters and engage in the testing and analysis of engineering solutions.
- Identify innovative ideas and translate them into practical solutions.
- Establish plans for continuous improvement in efficiency, quality, safety, and service.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field with three years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree with nine years of related experience.
- Experience in analyzing production processes and resolving technical issues.
- Familiarity with statistical and quality methodologies such as Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Proficiency in writing and managing Process Control Plans and Process Reaction Plans.
- Experience with manufacturing processes such as thermoforming and injection molding.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to apply engineering principles effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey complex information clearly.
