Job Summary

Highlands Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to lead our therapy services team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing occupational therapy services to ensure the highest quality of care for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Resident Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of residents to identify their unique needs and develop personalized care plans that promote optimal function and independence.
  • Treatment and Intervention: Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to residents, including exercises, activities, and education to help them achieve their goals.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicate with residents, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination and optimal outcomes.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of resident progress, treatment plans, and outcomes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and reimbursement standards.
  • Team Leadership and Supervision: Supervise and mentor Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) to ensure they are providing high-quality care and services.
Requirements:
  • Education: Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Active Occupational Therapy license in New Jersey.
  • Continuing Education: Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education to maintain current licensure and certification.
