Job Summary

The Immunology Center of Georgia at Augusta University is seeking a highly skilled Bioinformatics Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our research group, you will be responsible for conducting complex bioinformatics analyses of high-dimensional immunology datasets, including CyTOF, bulk RNA-seq, CITE-Seq, and scRNA-seq.

Responsibilities

Assist in complex computational analysis of high-dimensional immunology datasets
Provide training on bioinformatics-related concepts, applications, and tools
Recommend new methods, strategies, and improvements to incorporate into existing models
Mentor a team of bioinformaticians and computational biologists
Oversee the development and maintenance of bioinformatics pipelines and software
Provide strategic direction and vision for bioinformatics initiatives
Represent the organization at scientific conferences and workshops

Requirements

Ph.D. from an accredited college or university in Bioinformatics, Computer Sciences, or biological sciences
OR Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Bioinformatics, Computer Sciences, or biological sciences with three years of related experience
OR Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Bioinformatics, Biological Sciences, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or related field with six years of related experience
