Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ISP Helper to join our team at Tex-Star Service. As an ISP Helper, you will be responsible for assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain coaxial and fiber optic cables
  • Assist in the installation of lock boxes and EMT
  • Use hand tools and equipment to complete assigned projects
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
  • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, and equipment
  • Lift and manipulate splice enclosures and other plant and equipment
  • Work in cramped and enclosed spaces for extended periods
  • Work aloft, from a ladder, aerial lift device, or by gaffing
Requirements
  • Basic knowledge of and ability to operate utility trucks and equipment
  • Basic knowledge of and ability to hand tools and equipment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees
  • Regular and timely attendance is an essential function of this position
  • Must be able to perform the above for at least 8 hours per day, 5 days per week
  • Must be able to work overtime, after hours, on weekends, and on-call
  • Must be able to fill out daily production reports and keep track of work hours
  • Ability to work in emergencies at night and weekends if needed
  • Travel will be required
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Valid Driver's License; CDL License is a plus
