Job Summary:

This position plays a vital role in the assessment, planning, and implementation of patient care under the direct supervision of the Charge RN, Assistant Head Nurse, Nurse Manager, and/or the Director. The goal is to meet the requirements of the Joint Commission and other applicable federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies, as well as the department's mission and goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with assessment, planning, and implementation of patient care under direct supervision.
  • Provide direct and indirect care for adolescent to geriatric patients to meet their needs as directed.
  • Develop and implement activity plans for patients, either individually or in group settings, to promote their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients.

Education and Licensure:
  • Completion of six quarters or four semesters of college with an emphasis in social services or 2 years of experience in delivering services to individuals with mental illness or related experience within 5 years of hire.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 1 month of hire (not applicable to department Amberwing).

Work Environment:
  • Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on patient-centered care.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support.
