Job Overview

Raycap, Inc., a prominent player in the metal fabrication industry for telecommunications and related sectors, is currently seeking a dedicated Production Laborer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas, ensuring all debris and scrap materials are disposed of properly.
  • Assist with various production tasks, including:
  • Grinding and deburring components.
  • Cutting parts from sheet metal.
  • Sorting and arranging cut parts onto pallets.
  • Transporting materials using pallet jacks and forklifts to designated areas.
  • Operating the PEM inserter machine.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to environmental and safety regulations while consistently upholding high-quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Prior experience in a warehouse setting is preferred.
  • Effective verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management abilities.
  • Willingness to adapt to a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent standing and bending without difficulty.
  • Ability to work in a production environment without climate control.

Work Schedule: This position may require occasional overtime, with hours subject to change based on business needs.

Shift Details: 2nd shift: Monday – Friday, 3:30 pm – 12:00 am.

Breaks: 30-minute lunch plus two 15-minute breaks, scheduled by the manager.

Union Information: This position is part of IBEW Local Union 3, with a 45-day probationary period.

Benefits: Please refer to the IBEW Local 3 Union Contract for comprehensive details on benefits, including:

  1. Medical, Dental, Vision, HRA, and Annuity benefits after 6 months of employment.
  2. Vacation time starting after 6 months of continuous service.
  3. Sick leave eligibility after 1 year of continuous service.
  4. Mandatory union dues of $6 per week and a one-time application fee of $176.
  5. 12 paid holidays per year.
