Healthcare Intake Specialist

Position Overview:
LCH Lab. Corp. of America Holdings is seeking a dedicated individual to join our Patient Service Center. This role is crucial in ensuring a seamless experience for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage patient appointment scheduling and warmly welcome patients upon their arrival.
- Create a friendly and inviting atmosphere for all patients and visitors.
- Assist patients with registration and check-in processes.
- Perform data entry for patient demographics and billing details.
- Verify insurance coverage and process payments to patient accounts.
- Collect and prepare specimens for testing and analysis as required.
- Contact physician offices to ensure the accuracy of test orders.
- Monitor and document patient wait times consistently.
- Promptly inform the supervisor of any patient-related issues.
- Promote and provide information regarding LCH Lab services.
- Oversee office supplies to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
- Open and close the office as necessary.
- Carry out administrative and clerical tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
- Experience in the healthcare sector is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous.
- Exceptional customer service and strong verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in computer skills and typing.
- Competence in alpha-numeric data entry.
- Capability to pass a standardized color-blind test.
