About the RoleCKS Packaging Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Master Machinist - Tool Shop Bench Work Specialist to join our team in Atlanta, GA.
Salary and Benefits: The salary for this position is estimated at $45,000-$65,000 per year, depending on experience, with opportunities for growth and advancement within the company. Additionally, CKS Packaging offers competitive pay based on qualifications, paid vacation and sick days, bonus after eligibility period, excellent medical and dental benefits, and 401k participation with company matching contributions.
Job Responsibilities:As a Master Machinist - Tool Shop Bench Work Specialist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining lathe and milling machines, reviewing drawings and instructions to ensure accurate production, taking precise measurements for cutting or shaping, and selecting appropriate machine settings for tasks. You will also plan the sequence of tasks to complete assignments, monitor production, adjust feed and settings as necessary, maintain inventory of completed products, check output for quality assurance, document or discard defects, and perform machine maintenance and minor repairs.
Qualifications and Skills: To succeed in this role, you should have excellent coordination and mechanical skills, strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety, solid written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in math, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks. A high school degree or equivalent, experience working with machine tools or mechanical assembly, and working knowledge of safety protocols are also essential.
