The role of a Secondary Education Teacher - Culinary Arts is to develop students' academic and interpersonal skills through academic courses of study and implement district-approved curriculum. This includes documenting teaching and student progress, addressing specific educational needs of students, and providing a safe and optimal learning environment. Additionally, the teacher will provide feedback to students, parents, and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, and other relevant information.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement district-approved curriculum for culinary arts courses
- Document teaching and student progress, including grades, attendance, and behavioral data
- Address specific educational needs of students, including those with special needs or English language learners
- Provide a safe and optimal learning environment, including maintaining a clean and organized classroom
- Communicate with students, parents, and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, and other relevant information
- Valid California teaching credential for the appropriate level of instruction and/or subjects
- Prior teaching experience in culinary arts or a related field is desired
- Ability to work with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Credential Copy (Copy of valid teaching credential)
- English Learner Authorization (CLAD/CTEL Exams/Copy of credential if authorization is embedded, etc.)
- Letter of Introduction
- Letter(s) of Recommendation (Three letters of recommendation are required)
