Job Summary

Cornwell Quality Tools Co. is seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our team. As a Manual Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various machines, including mills, turret lathes, drill presses, and broaches, to cut and shape metal parts according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate milling machines to cut and shape metal parts.
  • Operate turret lathes to turn and shape metal parts.
  • Use drill presses to drill precise holes in metal parts.
  • Operate broaches to cut and shape internal and external cylindrical and flat surfaces.
  • Inspect parts for quality and accuracy.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines and tools.
  • Meet production deadlines and maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least four months to one year of experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to read and use blueprints and routings.
  • Knowledge of gages, calipers, and micrometers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
Work Environment

The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional exposure to dust, dirt, heat, cold, and fumes. The ability to work in a noisy environment is also required.
