About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at Fresenius Medical Care North America. As a Registered Nurse in our Surgery Center, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the process.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' medical histories, physical conditions, and laboratory results to identify potential risks and complications.
  • Administer medications and IV moderate sedation to patients as directed by physicians, adhering to organization, company, federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Act as a scrub technologist to assist physicians during procedures, maintaining a sterile technique and adhering to facility policies and procedures.
  • Perform point-of-care laboratory testing as directed by physicians, ensuring accurate and timely results.
  • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities, including monthly reports and attending meetings as required.
  • Assist with maintaining facility supply inventory, including ordering and restocking of supplies as needed.
  • Perform chart audits on a regular basis, ensuring accurate and complete documentation of patient information.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (R.N.)
  • Current appropriate state licensure and ACLS certification required
  • 6 years' related experience preferred, with a focus on Office Based Surgical Center/Ambulatory Surgical Center/Vascular Access, Cardiac Cath Lab, or a combination of ASC, surgical, Interventional Radiology and ICU/CCU or emergency department experience
  • Proficient in the use of computers and related software, including Microsoft Office
  • Proficient in IV insertion, cardiac rhythm recognition, and medical database software
  • Certified in BLS & ACLS, with successful completion of course certifications
