Anne Arundel Urology is actively seeking skilled Receptionist Professionals for our various locations.
The main objective of this position is to deliver a positive, friendly, and outstanding customer experience when welcoming our patients. This includes efficiently managing the check-in and check-out processes for our patients with courtesy and compassion, ensuring a smooth flow in the waiting area to minimize patient wait times, coordinating visits with the healthcare team as needed, and accurately documenting all relevant information.
This position also involves several routine administrative responsibilities, which encompass, but are not limited to, preparing correspondence, greeting patients and visitors, scheduling appointments, handling phone calls, obtaining necessary signatures, updating records in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, mentoring and training new staff, and addressing inquiries and requests.
Essential Skills and Competencies:
- Passion for assisting and engaging with individuals.
- Dependable and punctual.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance, adhering to the dress code.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (bilingual is a plus).
- Strong customer service abilities (empathy, kindness, respect, etc.).
- Attention to detail and focus.
- Proficient in telephone and email communication.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Familiarity with Allscripts/Veradigm software is advantageous.
- Experience with Phreesia software is beneficial.
Full Time: Monday - Friday - 40 hours per week with a flexible shift pattern.

Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED is required.
Associate degree in hospitality, business, communications, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum Experience:
At least one year of experience in healthcare service, customer service, or a patient-facing role.
One year of experience in patient scheduling or call center environments is preferred.
Familiarity with medical terminology is beneficial.
Computer proficiency is required.
Travel Requirements:
Occasional travel between locations may be necessary based on organizational needs.
Physical Demands:
Extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
